Gold Coast Water

Project overview:

Gold Coast Water – required to upgrade their existing water mains network to deal with the ongoing expansion of the areas of Beenleigh. The HDD was part of a large expansion of water main upgrades required to service the demand for water in the area.

Description of work:

SADB we contracted by Tenix, the head contractor to deliver the following works;

• 4 river crossings ranging from 200 metres to 410 metres and installation of 500mm PE pipe
• Drill under highly sensitive national park section of alignment – drilled in 90mpa rock for 440 metres and installed 710mm PE pipe
• 5 motorway crossings ranging from 150 metres to 250 metres and installation of 630mm PE pipe
