Hindley St Substation

Project overview:

SADB were engaged by SAPN to install 3 x 280mm and 2 x 110mm conduits as part of upgrade for the Hindley St substation.

Description of work:

• The works were completed with HDD application and in one drill shot of 410 metres from West Parklands, across West Tce and along Hindley St
• The drill proved to be difficult due to varying ground conditions from Hindmarsh clays with sandstone shelves and high water table
• All works were undertaken whilst maintaining traffic flow in a highly congested area with existing underground services
